Dr Mazin Alhamrany,

Dr Mazin Alhamrany, Chartered Engineer, has over 35 years consultancy experience in a wide variety of geotechnical problems, leading geotechnical design teams in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. His experience includes all types of foundations, deep excavations, retaining structures, railway projects, soil-structure interaction problems and Tunnel design (NATM, TBM and Cut-and-Cover).
Dr Mazin Alhamrany has intensive experience in leading geotechnical teams for designs of challenging projects in Holland such as the High Speed Line Project between Amsterdam and Paris, Metro Line underneath Amsterdam Central Station Building as well as Project in the United Kingdom such as East London Line, Gerrards Cross, Thames Link Borough viaduct, upgrading of Tottenham Court Road Station, Blackfriars Bridge and most recently the biggest project in Europe Crossrail Project. In addition, we have intensive experience in Middle East leading teams for design of major projects in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
Alhamrany is specialist in the field of applications of the finite element technique for tackling geotechnical problems. He is a highly experienced in 2D and 3D finite element modelling.
Dr Alhamrany has undertaken research and teaching in the field of advanced numerical methods (finite element method) for solving geotechnical problems and has published several papers on this topic.
